Teaching in the International War College includes general defence and operational training. It covers four complementary domains that favours the acquisition of the knowledge necessary for the handling of posts of responsibilities. These domains are: prospective vision about the world and Africa, Strategy and the art of war, inter-ministerial actions, security and management, leadership and anticipation.
The Senior Military Diploma of Second Degree crown the end of course. This diploma is signed respectively by the Minister delegate at the presidency in charge of defence and the French ambassador to Cameroon. This double signatures confers a direct equivalent to the Paris War College Diploma which is linked by a partnership convention.
The International War College is a senior military academic and not a University. For this reasons, a convention is signed with the centre for political and strategical research study (CRESP) of the University of Yaounde II SOA. This convention permits interns who have the prerequisite for master to go in for a Master 2 in Defence strategy, security, conflicts and catastrophic management.
Training program do not include optional lessons, except for Master 2. Interns do not have an option for the choice of the training program, however, they have to make reflexion efforts through personal work (Articles, preparing study sheets, master desertation…..)
